Paul from Wood Watches by Jord sent me one of their Ely Maple watches to review {ARV $129}

jord 1

Before Paul contacted me I had never heard of a wood watch. I was definitely intrigued and excited to partner with Jord to tell you all more about them.

Beyond the fact that these watches are stunning to look at, they serve a greater purpose. These modern watches are a sustainable product. I know that is a movement that many of you hold dear in your hearts so make sure you check out all of their mens and womens watches to find one that suits you best.

jord 2

I found my Jord watch to be comfortable, easy to put on and take off, stylish and an all-around bonus to my everyday wardrobe. I know you will feel the same way I do.

So why does Jord create these watches? First of all, because, duh, they’re awesome, but more importantly see what else they have to say:

Our style is guided by a deep appreciation for natural elements and modern design. Wood is not just a component of our watches, it is the main feature. The intricacy and multiplicity of the woods we utilize in our designs insure that each watch is as distinctive as the owner. (

Overall, I am very pleased and impressed by my Jord wood watch.

Black & Decker 20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac Review

Black & Decker sent me one of their new Vacs to test out and I have to say that I LOVE IT!

You see, I have been desperately wanting a little cordless hand-vac for a while. A long while. And, did I mention desperately?

I currently have a big, older vacuum that I hardly use because we have no carpeting in the house. About every month or so the amount of ‘unintentional trailmix’ covering my van floor gets out of control and needs to be vacuumed out. Lugging the big ol’ vacuum outside, searching for the single coveted extension cord, and trying to reach that hose across the van without the vacuum falling over and penetrating one of my children’s skulls gets a little monotonous. This is the desperation I’m talking about.

Well, friends, I did not just get any old hand held, cordless vacuum. I got the king of them all. Without further ado, I introduce to you the Black & Decker 20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac:

Just look what this little guy can do:

BDH2000PL_3I haven’t seen such amazing pivoting action since Larry Bird. That picture above shows the 6 different angles you can pivot this vacuum to accommodate you in your cleaning. Check out Susie Homemaker cleaning well above her head with ease:

BDH2000PL_A2 As someone who is 4’11” tall (gasp, it’s true) I need this kind of cleaning tool in my life. Now that I have it, I cannot live without it. To see all of the other great features visit the website here. You see now why I call this guy the king? Of curse, no king is complete without his throne. Check out this throne, people:

The king can sit on his throne, in a compact way and juice up for the next mess that will inevitably happen.

Remember my van-cleaning woes? Here are some before shots of my van. Remember, this is a judgement free zone:

We kind of use this van like a pickup truck. We have hauled bags upon bags of mulch, plants and even children. Most of the mess is mulch, soil and that ‘unintentional trailmix’ that comes about from multiple episodes of snacking and driving.

See how easily this vacuum cleaned up every bit of mess that it (please excuse the poor camera skills):

In the end, after maybe 7 minutes of vacuuming, the van was as clean as it has ever been since we’ve owned it and the vacuum was full of dirty, mulchy ‘unintentional trailmix’ with a touch of husky hair. Emptying the vacuum is simple and can be done with one hand.

Here is the 7 minutes of work results:

20v 2 Collage

It’s not perfect (and neither are we) but now I don’t have to give my “Boy, we really need to clean this van” line every time we open the doors in a public place.

So we know this is an amazing vacuum for my van, but I also have to note that it works wonders on door mats, under couch cushions, collection dog hair clumps from under the bed and more!

My Interview with Jonathan Scott from HGTV

I recently had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview Jonathan Scott, start of HGTV’s shows Property Brothers and Brother Vs. Brother.

Unless you are living under a rock the size of Rhode Island, you have seen Jonathan, and his twin brother Drew doing some amazing things with houses on their shows.

Here is what Jonathan had to say in response to my questions:

SelectSpecs Glasses Review

Kathryn from sent me a promotional code for  a pair of glasses from their Economy Collection.

I usually wear contacts, but do need to have glasses to wear when my contacts are out (late night, early morning) or if my eyes just need a break once in a while.

I do not want to purchase expensive glasses since I do not wear them much, and also because I have a 2 and 4 year old at home. Yes, they have destroyed my glasses in the past.

I found it very simple to order my glasses on and loved all of the choices they had in their Economy Collection. After narrowing it down, I ordered my glasses in a matter of minutes.

They arrived at my house fairly quickly, especially since they are a product that is made to order. They were packaged nicely and were ready to go right out of the package.

I chose this Savannah pair:

Overall, I had a great experience ordering these glasses from I will definitely consider reordering when it is time for a new pair and think you will also enjoy the ease and affordability of ordering your glasses here too

Boba Wrap Review

Boba sent me one of the Boba Wrap carriers to review {ARV $38}.

boba Collage 2

I do own a Boba 3G but have never owned a wrap, of any kind, so I was excited to get this Boba Wrap to try out on my 25 lb 2 year old. The maximum limits for the Boba Wrap are 35 lbs and 36 months so I knew it would be a great fit.

Once I opened up my Boba Wrap I was immediately drawn to how stretchy and soft the farbic was. I now understand why so many moms love the Boba Wrap for their precious little newborns and their soft and sensitive skin, and continue to love them throughout their childs first few years.

It took me just a few minutes to follow the instructions and figure out how to get my 2 year old set up correctly in the Boba Wrap. She is a clingy hugger so she loves being worn on the front, as opposed to being slung around to my backside with other carriers.

boba Collage

I really love the ease of tying and untying the Boba Wrap to adjust sizing. It can be a hassle sometimes to adjust carriers with buckles, especially when you do not always have a free hand or two.

The Boba Wrap also comes with it’s own carrying pouch. Once inside the pouch, you can attach your Boba Wrap to your stroller or diaper bag, or even stick it in your glove compartment or backpack.

The Boba Wrap is a lightweight and hassle-free baby carrier and I am happy to have had the chance to review it.

Enter for your chance to win a Boba Baby Carrier, a Boba Wrap or a Boba Air! All products can be seen at With Boba products it is easier than ever to enjoy Freedom Together as a family and Boba wants YOU to get a chance to use their products. To enter to win, follow the Rafflecopter instructions.

Nite Ize Gear Ties Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was sent some Nite Ize Gear Ties to use and review in my home.

We were able to used these around the house to wrap up cords, as a tablet stand and in other similar ways suggested to help keep ourselves organized and tidy.

I wanted to get more use out of these so sent some with my husband to the office because I knew he would get creative.

He used one here as a pen holder:

He also used another in a couple of different ways for holding a flash light.

He was really impressed with the quality and durability of these Gear Ties.

Overall, we really love these Nite Ize Gear Ties. There are an endless amount of uses and we cannot wait to find out more!

Silicon Baking Mat and Commercial Baking Sheet Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was sent a Silicon Baking Mat and Commercial Baking sheet to review.

I currently had old baking sheets so this was a welcomed product. Of course, the only appropriate item to test these out was chocolate chip cookies.

I often have issues with cookies sticking to the pan or not cooking evenly but this was not the case with my new baking mat and sheet.

027 028

As you can see, the cookies came out great and my sous chefs couldn’t agree more.

026It was so easy to take the cookies off of the baking mat. In fact, i barely had to clean it because there were just a few small smudges left over.

Baking cookies, or anything else for that matter, will never be the same again.
